AFKLMP Cargo adds Cairo freighter, Punta Cana and Malé belly routes for winter 2026/27
AFKLMP Cargo's winter 2026/27 schedule adds Cairo freighter flights and Punta Cana and Malé belly routes, running from October 25, 2026 to March 27, 2027.
Read-back
- Winter schedule runs October 25, 2026 to March 27, 2027
- Network comprises 14 freighter, 112 wide-body belly and 54 European destinations
- Cairo joins freighter network with three weekly Boeing 777F flights
- Punta Cana opens November 2026 (3x weekly 777-300ER); Malé follows December 2026 (2x weekly A350-900)
- Seoul freighter capacity rises to three weekly flights from Amsterdam
Air France KLM Martinair Cargo will operate a winter 2026/27 schedule of 14 freighter destinations, 112 wide-body belly destinations and 54 European stations from October 25, 2026 to March 27, 2027, adding Cairo, Punta Cana and Malé to the network.
The three additions span both capacity types. Cairo joins the freighter network on the Air France side; Punta Cana and Malé enter through wide-body belly capacity from Paris Charles de Gaulle. Both hubs, Paris CDG and Amsterdam Schiphol, anchor the schedule.
What does the freighter network gain?
Air France will serve Cairo with three weekly Boeing 777F flights, giving customers dedicated main deck capacity between Europe and North Africa independent of passenger operations.
The India operation shifts airports for the season. The Air France freighter will serve Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMI) instead of Mumbai (BOM) this winter, with two weekly Boeing 777F flights.
The KLM/Martinair Boeing 747 freighter network continues to connect Amsterdam with markets across the Americas, Africa and Asia. Seoul (ICN) capacity rises to three weekly frequencies, including one standalone flight and two rotations combined with Hong Kong (HKG) — an increase in dedicated capacity on the Seoul route from the Schiphol hub.
What is new on the belly network?
From Paris CDG, two new long-haul destinations open this winter:
- Punta Cana (PUJ), Dominican Republic — three weekly flights on the Boeing 777-300ER from November 2026
- Malé (MLE), Maldives — two weekly flights on the Airbus A350-900 from December 2026
Seasonal winter services to Ottawa (YOW), Canada, and Barbados (BGI) return. Joint venture partner Delta Cargo provides cargo capacity on North Atlantic routes to and from Europe, and interline partnerships extend the network beyond AFKLMP-operated destinations.
The European operation rests on a 54-destination narrow-body belly network feeding both hubs, complemented by an intra-European trucking network that links continental shippers to the intercontinental network.
Why the seasonal build-up matters
Cargo demand concentrates sharply across the winter calendar, from year-end peak traffic through the flower season ahead of Valentine's Day — a cycle that shapes the group's capacity planning.
"Winter is a demanding season for our customers, from the year-end peak to the flower season in the run-up to Valentine's Day," said Pierre-Olivier Bandet, Executive Vice President Cargo at Air France-KLM. "We combine dedicated main deck capacity with the reach of our wide-body and European belly networks via Paris and Amsterdam. With our new services to Cairo, Punta Cana and Malé, we offer our customers reliable capacity, flexibility and more choice throughout the season."
The group publishes winter network maps covering the freighter, wide-body belly and narrow-body belly operations, with bookings handled through its myCargo platform. All destinations remain part of the planned schedule, with the season running through March 27, 2027.
