CargoAi Launches CargoMART Strategic Hub for Air Cargo Rates
CargoAi has launched CargoMART Strategic Hub, adding AI workflows to air cargo rate management as freight platforms race to automate pricing operations.
Read-back
- CargoAi has launched CargoMART Strategic Hub, combining air cargo rate management with AI workflows
- The product consolidates carrier rate sheets, market rates and quotations in a single interface
- CargoAi has not disclosed pricing or launch customers for the module
- The Strategic Hub is available now as part of CargoAi's freight platform

CargoAi has launched CargoMART Strategic Hub, a new module for managing air cargo rates and running AI-assisted workflows, the company announced. The product extends the Singapore-based digital freight platform's existing rate-management tooling into what it calls a strategic hub for pricing operations.
The launch matters because rate management sits at the center of forwarder economics. Air cargo rates swing weekly — sometimes daily — on capacity shifts, and forwarders that quote from stale data lose margin on one side and customers on the other. CargoAi is betting that combining rate management with AI workflows lets freight teams price faster and with fewer hands on the keyboard.
What does the Strategic Hub actually do?
CargoAi positions CargoMART as the operational core for air cargo pricing: a single interface where airlines' rate sheets, market rates and customer quotations live together, with AI workflows layered on top to automate repetitive steps in the quote-to-book chain.
The company frames the product in three functions:
- Rate management — consolidating carrier and market rate data into one working view
- AI workflows — automating drafting, comparison and routing decisions that teams previously handled manually
- Strategic layer — tools for steering pricing policy rather than just recording it
CargoAi has not published pricing for the module, nor has it named launch customers, so adoption claims will need testing against actual forwarder rollouts in coming months.
Why rate management, and why now?
Digital freight platforms have spent the past several years racing to digitize the booking side of air cargo — search, quote, book — while rate management has remained a mostly manual discipline of spreadsheets and email chains. The gap is costly: forwarders often rekey the same rate data across multiple systems before a single quotation reaches a shipper.
CargoAi's answer is to make the rate hub the system of record and let AI workflows move data between steps. That places it in direct competition with the rate-management modules of larger freight-tech players, all of whom are adding AI features to their own stacks.
The differentiation claim — a dedicated "strategic" hub rather than a booking tool with rates bolted on — is a positioning argument as much as a technical one. Whether forwarders treat rate management as a standalone purchase or part of a broader platform will decide how much of a market the Strategic Hub can capture.
What happens next?
CargoAi says the Strategic Hub is available now as part of its platform. The open questions are commercial: which forwarders deploy it, whether the AI workflows survive contact with live pricing operations, and whether CargoAi publishes adoption figures that let the market verify the launch against real usage rather than announcement language.
