My Freighter takes 11th Boeing 767 freighter as network widens

My Freighter's 11th Boeing 767 freighter (UK67023) arrives as the Uzbek carrier runs daily Liege flights and adds Asia–Europe routes via its Tashkent hub.

Read-back

  1. My Freighter now operates 11 Boeing 767 freighters plus one 757 freighter (Planespotters.net data)
  2. Newly added 767-300 (UK67023) offers 55 tonnes of capacity via the Tashkent hub
  3. Liege frequencies increased to daily from July
  4. New Asia–Frankfurt routes launched in March; Hong Kong–Maastricht via Tashkent announced in January
  5. Interline deals signed with Air Canada and Singapore Airlines; Group Concorde appointed GSA in four countries

My Freighter has taken delivery of another Boeing 767-300 freighter, bringing its fleet of the type to 11 aircraft and extending an expansion that has already added new Asia–Europe routes this year.

The 55-tonne-capacity aircraft, registered UK67023, joins a Tashkent-based operation that, according to Planespotters.net, already flew 10 767 freighters, plus a single Boeing 757 freighter. The carrier is owned by Centrum Holding.

The airline said the added capacity gives it more flexibility and more options for imports and exports through its Tashkent hub, along with stronger connections between Asia and Europe.

"Every aircraft we add strengthens our ability to connect Central Asia with the markets that matter to our customers and partners," the airline said.

The aircraft carries the name Zahiriddin Muhammad Bobur, after the Andijan-born poet, statesman and founder of the Mughal Empire — a nod to the carrier's Uzbek identity as it scales beyond the region.

Where does the aircraft fit in the network?

My Freighter operates across Central Asia, Asia, the Indian Subcontinent, the Middle East, Europe and North America. Its most visible growth is on Asia–Europe corridors, where freighter capacity remains tight and Tashkent's geography works in the carrier's favour as a midpoint hub.

The frequency record this year shows the pace:

  • January: the carrier announced scheduled cargo flights from Hong Kong International Airport to Maastricht Aachen Airport in the Netherlands, routing via Tashkent.
  • March: it launched new routes between Asia and Frankfurt Airport in Germany.
  • July: it increased frequencies to Liege in Belgium to daily.

The Liege step-up matters most for the new 767's utilisation. A daily commitment to a single European gateway requires dependable widebody capacity, and an 11th freighter gives the airline slack to protect that schedule against maintenance downtime.

How is the carrier extending its reach beyond its own metal?

Fleet growth runs alongside commercial partnerships. My Freighter has signed interline agreements most recently with Air Canada and Singapore Airlines, expanding the destinations it can offer beyond its own network.

It has also appointed Group Concorde as a cargo sales agent covering four countries, outsourcing part of its sales effort as it enters markets where it lacks local presence.

What does the fleet plan signal?

The 767-300 freighter remains the workhorse of the operation. Eleven examples of the type give My Freighter commonality advantages in crewing, maintenance and spares — a significant factor for a carrier scaling quickly from a Central Asian base.

The second-hand 767 freighter market has been a well-trodden path for mid-sized cargo operators, and My Freighter's steady additions suggest it will keep working that channel rather than waiting for new-production capacity, which remains constrained across the freighter segment.

With interline partners extending reach, a GSA building sales in new territories and frequencies rising on established lanes, the carrier has built the commercial scaffolding to keep an 11-strong 767 fleet earning.

The question for the months ahead is whether demand on Asia–Europe lanes sustains the pace of additions — and whether Tashkent can convert its geographic position into a durable freighter hub role between the two continents.
